Terms of Service


We must receive payment for the full amount of the goods that you order before your order can be accepted. Once payment has been received by us we will send a confirmatory invoice to the email address supplied.

Cancellation and returns

To cancel your order you must notify us in writing by email, and we will return any sum debited to us as soon as possible. For products that are hand made to order, we reserve the right to charge any costs incurred should an order be cancelled or amended after 5 days from the confirmation date of order.

Jalu is committed to your complete satisfaction. However, if you consider your Jalu purchase unsuitable, we must be advised within 7 days of receipt. The item(s) (all parts) must be returned to us within 14 days of receipt, re-packaged in the original packaging and in perfect condition. For the outdoor lamps only, we will arrange for our courier to collect. Return delivery costs must be borne by you. A refund (but not for the delivery costs) will be made within 7 days of receipt of goods. We are not able to refund the costs of any products that have been customised.

If you do not return the goods delivered to you or do not pay the costs of delivery we shall be entitled to deduct the cost of recovery of the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.

Unfortunately, items are occasionally damaged in shipping. We ask that you fully inspect all products immediately upon receipt. If by some chance, your item arrives damaged, or you believe the item to be faulty, please contact us immediately and provide photographic evidence. We will arrange a prompt replacement of the item. We may ask you to return the item and, under these circumstances, will refund the costs of postage.

Delivery of goods to you

We will deliver the goods to the address supplied. You will become the owner of the goods as soon as they are delivered to you. Once delivered, they are held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

Liability for electrical goods

Jalu is not responsible for electrical goods used in countries where the electrical supply current is different from the UK. Nor are we responsible for problems occurring where installation was not carried out by a qualified electrician.

Jalu will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) arising out of any problem you notify to us in relation to product delivery, and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question.

We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident.

Warranty for Jalu lamps

The structural integrity of Jalu lamps is guaranteed for 5 years, with the following exclusions:

  1. The claim relates solely to changes to the surface appearance of the lamp which do not affect its structural qualities.
  2. The lamps is repaired with components, accessories and/or materials that have not been approved by Jalu Ltd in writing.
  3. Damage and deterioration occurs to the lamp which can be attributed to the standard of workmanship used to repair the lamp.
  4. Damage or deterioration to the lamp occurs as a result of inadequate design and/or construction of the site where it is installed.

Please note that the lamps are UV resistant. However, over time, slight fading and changes to the surface colour may occur.

The guarantee does not apply to light bulbs and luminaires which are deemed consumables.
